Before the temperature drops, it is necessary to carry out a full range of insulation work on the valve device to prepare for winter.
Prepare the required tools: utility knife,vise,iron wire,thermal insulation cotton,and carry an effective gas alarm in the gas area.
Depending on the size of the valve, use a utility knife to cut the appropriate insulation. Then use the vise to cut the wire that needs to be tied. When wrapping the insulation, tear the insulation a little, then go around the valve handle and wrap the valve body. After wrapping the insulation, secure it with wire.
In the process of using the valve, if it is found that there is ice formation and it cannot work normally, do not hit the valve with heavy objects. The correct way is to close the valve first, then freeze the valve with steam or hot water, and finally open the valve.
If the valve is not used for a long time, the medium in the pipeline should be completely removed to prevent the pipeline and valve from freezing. The issue of valve antifreeze can be big or small. We must not cause an irreversible situation due to temporary carelessness.
Valve antifreeze is also divided into regions. The temperature in winter in the north and south is quite different. According to the characteristics of winter and the actual situation of the project, antifreeze measures for boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines and their auxiliary valves, and safety relief devices in winter are formulated and implemented. to the real place.
For the parts that are prone to frost cracks, increase the daily inspection efforts. Pay close attention to sudden and significant cooling weather, take thermal insulation and countermeasures in advance, and use thermal insulation materials to strengthen the thermal insulation of the device.
When the valve is out of service or overhauled, the water in the equipment must be drained to avoid freezing and cracking of the valve.
For pressure vessels that may contain water in the medium, water should be discharged regularly, and the water discharge valve should be kept warm.
Check the drain condition of the water vapor pipeline, and at the same time, keep the drain valve and pipeline well insulated.
The pipes of the chemical system need to be insulated; the safety valves on boilers, pressure vessels and pressure pipes need to be insulated to avoid being frozen and causing malfunction;
It should be noted that if the pipeline is frozen and the valve cannot be forced to open and close, the frozen cracked valve should be purchased urgently, and maintenance personnel should be arranged to replace it.
