Maintenance and maintenance of electric ball valve
A ball valve is simple to understand. It is a metal sphere with a holebored through the center, designed to control flow. It is used in many hydrocarbon process applications and is capable of throttling vaporsand gasses, and is especially useful for low-flow conditions. They are often used in fuel gas systems that feed furnaces.
Ball Valves Are Easily Damaged
Failure,if it occurs, can have a cascade effect which might also damagethe motor and other associated parts. The environment, constant use of that valve pipeline, and other hidden causes will affect the service life of that electric actuator valve. What is the solution to prolonging the life of that ball valve?
Regular care of a ball valve will reduce downtime, improve work efficiency, and save enormous amounts of money on replacement costs.
1.The electric ball valve should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, with both ends blocked from passage.
2.Electric ball valves stored for an extended period should be regularly inspected to remove dirt, then coated on the surface with an application of anti-rust oil.
3.There cannot be any loose bolts on the flange or bracket, and threads should not be STRIPPED or show signs of wear.
4.If the fastening nut on the handwheel is loose, it must be tightened. The consequences of improperly securing that nut may result in the loss of the handwheel and nameplate.
5. The packing gland cannot become skewed and MUST have a pre-tightening gap.
6.If the valve is in an environment where rain, snow, dust, or other contaminants can infiltrate that valve, the stem should be equipped with a protective cover.
7.The scale on the electric ball valve should be kept complete, accurate, and clear.
8. The electric ball valve's lead seals, caps, and pneumatic accessories should always be complete and intact
9.The insulation jacket should never exhibit dents or cracks.
